Rubika Liyaquat rejoins Network18 as Managing Editor of News18 Rajasthan

Senior broadcast journalist and prime-time anchor Rubika Liyaquat has rejoined Network18 as Managing Editor of News18 Rajasthan. In her dual leadership role, Liyaquat will direct overall editorial strategy and newsroom operations for the regional Hindi news channel while anchoring the flagship 7:00 PM national news bulletin on Network18's Hindi news channel, News18 India. Under the updated editorial hierarchy, Amit Bhatt (Editor Input) and Ankur Tyagi (Editor Output) at News18 Rajasthan will report to Liyaquat, while she will report directly to Jyoti Kamal, Managing Editor of News18 India.

The appointment marks a rapid return to Network18 following Liyaquat’s brief tenure at Times Now Navbharat, where she served as Senior Executive Editor and Vice President of Special Projects starting in June 2026 before exiting in September. Prior to that, she served as Consulting Editor and Prime-Time Anchor at News18 India from January 2024 to May 2026, anchoring daily political debate shows including Goonj with Rubika Liyaquat and Desh Nahin Jhukne Denge, following earlier leadership roles as Vice President at Bharat24.

Network18 executive leadership highlighted that Liyaquat's roots in Udaipur and extensive national broadcast experience will strengthen the channel's regional presence. Jyoti Kamal noted that her appointment aims to give News18 Rajasthan a sharper national profile while reinforcing its local reporting depth. Spanning a broadcast career of nearly two decades, Liyaquat’s previous editorial and anchoring tenure includes positions across major Hindi news networks, including Live India, News24, Zee News, ABP News, Bharat24, and Times Now Navbharat.
